Sonal Adlakha brings nearly two decades of experience in energy transition, distributed renewable energy and project management across diverse international contexts.
She has taken solar microgrids from concept to live operations in India, designed and implemented billing systems for energy customers in the UK, managed a portfolio of European research and innovation projects in energy efficiency and thermal storage, structured service & accountability agreements between international partners, and managed projects across private wire networks in regulatory territory that had not been navigated before.
Across roles and sectors, from project coordination to programme leadership, from sales to operations, from training entrepreneurs to advising multinationals, she accumulated a depth of operational experience that a domain specific role would rarely have offered.
Her experience taught her that even with sound strategy and capable teams, things slip in the spaces between teams, between partners, and between the ask and the answer. She founded Enduku Systems to work at those specific gaps.
She has mentored through the Global Women's Network for the Energy Transition and Engineers Without Borders UK. She believes mentoring is a two way street and that most people's biggest obstacle is not capability. It is the limits they have placed on themselves before anyone else has.
Based in Birmingham, UK. Working with clients across the UK, Europe and India.
